Alice Faye Ashburn Obituary (1955 - 2020)

EDEN- Alice "Faye" Ashburn, 64, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, February 8, 2020, at Annie Penn Hospital. The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, February 12, 2020 at Redemption Point Church. Interment will follow in the Sardis Primitive Baptist Cemetery. Alice "Faye" Ashburn was born on December 7, 1955, to the late Ballard Corum and Virginia Shelton Corum. She loved to shop and enjoyed watching the local wildlife, deer, squirrels, and birds, and was a member of Redemption Point Church in Mayodan. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Denny Ray Ashburn; sisters, Emma Holmes, Ruth Hutchens and Diane Williams. Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, Tim and Tabatha Ashburn and Tony and Missy Ashburn; brothers, Thomas Corum and wife Pauline; grandchildren, Caleb Cox, Bryson Cox, Maddi Ashburn, Hailey Ashburn, Jacob Ashburn, Julia Ashburn, Andrew Ashburn; extended family, George and Amber Wilson, Mason Wilson, Connor Wilson, and Karsyn Wilson; best best friend, James Peters. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 pm, Tuesday at Redemption Point Church, 327 N. 2nd Avenue, Mayodan, N.C., and other times at the home of Tony Ashburn, 1467 Old Town Road, Walnut Cove, N.C.
