Anthony Sollitto Obituary (1934 - 2018)

Anthony "Tony" Sollitto, beloved husband, father, and grandfather, died Wednesday, October 24, 2018, at home. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m., Saturday, October 27, 2018, at Colonial Funeral, and following the memorial service at the residence. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday at the funeral home. A private inurnment will take place Sunday. Born on February 4, 1934, in Lyndhurst, New Jersey, Tony was a U.S. Navy veteran. He was retired from Bedford Central School District, New York. He was an avid fisherman and hunter. Tony was preceded in death by parents, Anthony Sollitto and Maria (Mary) Rigione Sollitto; first wife, Katherine Luhman Sollitto; and son, Edward A. Sollitto. Survivors include his wife of 39 years, Elizabeth (Betsy) R. Scofield Sollitto; children, Dorothy A. Sollitto Bogin; stepchildren, Andrew DeDona, III and wife Dinaira, and Bruce R. DeDona and wife Tracey; and grandchildren, Steven J. Bogin, Bryan A. Bogin, Paul M. Bogin, Alice K. Sollitto, Isabella G. DeDona, Olivia L. DeDona, Daniela A. DeDona, Summer Cassell Morrison and husband Benjamin D., and Keith Joseph Clark.
