Debra Lawson Collins Obituary (1957 - 2019)

WESTFIELD Debra Lawson Collins, 61, passed away, Wednesday, October 16, 2019 at her residence. The funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, October 19, 2019, at Colonial Funeral Home Stokes Chapel. Interment will follow in the Lawsonville Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m., on Friday, October 18, 2019 at Colonial Funeral Home Stokes Chapel., Mrs. Collins was born December 8, 1957 in Stokes County to Mary Hazel Tilley Medley and the late Sidney Madison Lawson. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, and sister. Debra was willing to help others. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Rufus Collins and a brother, Chris Lawson. Survivors include her son Jason Collins and wife, Mary Sue; mother, Mary Hazel Tilley Medley and husband, Garfield; one grand-daughter, Alyssa Leann Collins; brothers, Thomas (Tina) Lawson, Jimmy (Kim) Lawson, and Randall (Tabbatha) Lawson, sisters, Cindy (Dale) Lawson, Sheila (Ronnie) Smith and Ethel Pyrtle.
