Franklin D Clark Obituary (1935 - 2019)

MADISON Franklin "D" Delano Roosevelt Clark, 84, devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, left this earthly life Friday, June 7, 2019, at Forsyth Medical Center, Winston-Salem. The family will receive friends beginning at 6 p.m. Wednesday, June 12, 2019, at True Gospel Baptist Church followed by a memorial service at 7 p.m. He was born in Stokes County, on April 4, 1935, to the late Levi Clark and Sudie Lawson Clark. Franklin accepted the Lord on April 29, 1966, and was a charter member of True Gospel Baptist Church. He was retired from Unifi, Inc. with 30 years of service. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers Tommy, Jack, and Charlie Clark; five sisters Bessie Joyce, Lena Collins, Annie Kate Martin, Eva Collins, and Margaret Clark and son-in-law Junior Purdy. Survivors include wife of 62 years, Ann Case Clark; son and daughter-in-law, David Alan and Teresa Myrick Clark; daughter, Deborah Clark Purdy; five grandchildren Joshua Eric Purdy, Samantha Clark Leatherwood (Michael), Amanda Dawn Clark, Mikayla Clark Ziglar, Christopher Alan Clark; two great-grandchildren Noah and Rachael Leatherwood, and a brother, Bobby Clark.
