Larry Lee Holt Obituary (1946 - 2017)

MADISON - Larry Lee Holt, 71, died peacefully Monday, November 20, 2017, at home. The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, November 25, 2017, at the Old Country Church. Interment will follow in the Wilson Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. Larry was a life-long native of Rockingham County, born on June 15, 1946 to the late Burlie Lee Holt and Lucy Joyce Holt. He was founder and owner of Holt's Body Shop. He was a true cowboy who competed in showing walking horses. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Bullins Holt and sisters, Carlene Palmer, Diane Hawkins and Burla Mae Holt. Survivors include his loving daughter, Lisa H. Lashley and husband, Norman; grandchildren, Adam Lashley (Susan Wray) and Courtney L. Baughn and husband, Brian; great-grandchildren, Ethan and Aubree Baughn; special nephew, Jerry Hill; and best friend Benny Gann. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m., Friday, at Colonial Funeral Home and all other times at the residence. Colonial Funeral Home in Madison is serving the family.
