Phillip Randy Dalton Obituary (1956 - 2020)

WALNUT COVE Phillip "Randy" Dalton, 63, died on Sunday, February 23, 2020. The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, February 26, 2020 at Colonial Funeral Home with Reverend Perry Edwards officiating. Interment will follow in the Mayodan Municipal Cemetery. The family will receive friends beginning at 1 p.m., Wednesday at the funeral home. Mr. Dalton was born in Rockingham County to the late James Floyd Dalton and Ollie Rae Dalton. Randy was a painter by trade and was also skilled in many other areas such as roofing and plumbing. He was a Carolina Tar Heels fan and enjoyed watching westerns. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Jack, Slick, Bill, Buster and Bud Dalton and sister, Barbara Shoe. Survivors include his son, Michael Shane Dalton; siblings, Margaret Edwards (Rev. Clifton Edwards), Rachel Brewer (Junior), Wayne Dalton (Ruth), Susie Roach (Benny) and Tim Dalton (Lucy); special family members and caretakers, Leslie Bennett (Alan) and Cindy Edwards, extended family members, Bam-Bam and Mackenzie Hand and special friends whom he resided with, Barbara Dalton and Jerry Ashburn.
