Robert Franklin Bray Obituary (1940

SURFSIDE BEACH, SC - Robert Franklin Bray, 76, formerly of Reidsville, died Friday, October 27, 2017, at Grandstand Hospital in Myrtle Beach, SC. The graveside service will be held at 2 pm, Friday, November 3, 2017, at Woodland Cemetery with Minister Creighton Beatty officiating. Mr. Bray was born November 5, 1940, in Rockingham County, to the late Robert Samuel Bray and Esther French Bray. He was retired from the American Tobacco Co. He was an avid nature lover and enjoyed camping with family, fishing, hunting, cooking and gardening. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister. Survivors include his wife of 27 years, Lauvenia Harris Bray; children, Tina Ashley and husband Terry, Randy Bray, Todd Bray and wife Teresa, Kevin Bray and wife Amy Eberle, Amy Hammond and husband Ross, Rachel Bray, Lisa Apple; brother, Tommy Bray and wife Ann Lee; sisters, Rachel Sharpe, Linda Weavil; grandchildren, Elan Ashley, John Bray, Luke Bray, Linda Hammond, Jennifer Bray, Spencer Apple; a few great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 7 until 9 pm, Thursday, November 2 at Colonial Funeral Home. Colonial Funeral Home in Madison is serving the family.
