William Gabriel Moore Obituary (1940 - 2018)

MAYODAN - William Gabriel Moore, 78, went home to be with our Lord on Monday, October 15, 2018. The family will receive friends from 7 until 9 p.m., Tuesday, October 16, 2018 at Colonial Funeral Home. Per Mr. Moores request, a private family graveside service will be held. A native of Stokes County, William graduated from Sandy Ridge High School in 1958. William retired with 47 years of service combined from Burlington Inc, MacField, and Unifi.and an additional 10 years at Remington Arms. He spent his free time working with his collectables, woodworking and volunteering - and, he was also a great cook! William was a loving father, husband, grandfather, a devoted Christian and a friend to everyone. He was preceded in death by the mother of his children, Ernestine (Tina) Martin Moore, Janie Atkins Moore and his parents, Willis and Ruby Moore. Survivors include his brother, Fernard (Jenny) Moore; sister, Celia Flippin; daughters, Regina Stephens, Amanda (Bobby) Sands and Kristie (Jamie) Cooper; grandchildren, Meghan, Josh, Savannah, Lincoln, Archer and Aaris and great-grandchildren, Lucas, Laney and Nathon. A heartfelt thank you and love to Bertha McBride, his sister-in-law and Wayne Carter for their faithful dedication and support. A special thank you to the staff at North Pointe of Mayodan for their constant care, and to Sabrina for her unwavering love and devotion.
