Chelsea McKenzie Light-Hopper Obituary (1994 - 2022)

MADISON - Chelsea McKenzie Light-Hopper, 27, passed away Thursday afternoon, January 27, 2022, at Moses Cone Hospital of Covid 19 complications. The family will receive friends during a visitation at Colonial Funeral Home & Chapel in Madison on Wednesday, February 2nd, from 5 - 8 PM. Chelsea was born February 11, 1994. She was an outgoing, loving person who never met a stranger. She loved to cook, travel and spend time with family and friends. Chelsea worked at Sturm, Ruger & Co., Inc. in Mayodan as a customer service representative. She is survived by her wife of five years, Virginia Hopper of the home; two sons, Levi and Landen Hopper of the home; her parents, Fred James Light and Joanne Smith Light of Burlington; five brothers, Rusty, Samuel, Matthew and Daniel Light along with Christopher Tippens of Burlington; a sister, Jasmine Burke of Burlington; two aunts, Tonya Montjoy and Wendy Murray (Jeff); along with several cousins and special friends.
