Dorothy Ziglar Ore Obituary (1933 - 2022)

Dorothy Ziglar Ore of 204 North Ayersville Road, Mayodan, passed Thursday, January 27, 2022, at the age of 88. The funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, February 2, 2022 at Woodbine Baptist Church. Interment will follow in the Mayodan Municipal Cemetery. The viewing and visitation will be held from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Tuesday at Colonial Funeral Home in Madison and all other times at the residence. Mrs. Ore was born in Rockingham County to the late Harvey and Elizabeth Ziglar. She was a member of Woodbine Baptist Church. She retired with 38 years of service from Burlington Industries. Nanny enjoyed her family, including her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Edward Ore of Mayodan and brother, John Ziglar of Madison. Survivors include a son, Robbie Ore and wife, Sherry Ore of Danbury and grandsons, Zachariah Sterling Ore and wife, Joy Jackson Ore and their daughters, Alexis and Addyson of Lexington and Nicholas Jordan Ore of Mayodan; sister, Lee Morton of Oak Ridge and special sisters-in-law, Linda Littlejohn and Mick Ziglar of Greensboro.
