George Gaston "Tab" Mabe Obituary (1939 - 2021)

DANBURY - George Gaston "Tab" Mabe, 81, passed away, Thursday, February 25, 2021, at Surry Community Health and Rehabilitation Center. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm, Sunday, February 28, 2021, at the Mabe Family Cemetery, Seven Island Rd, Danbury, NC. Social distancing guidelines will be observed and face coverings are encouraged. Mr. Mabe was born August 18, 1939, in Stokes County, to the late Roland and Lonnie Shelton Mabe. He was a farmer and enjoyed woodcraft and planes. He was a very humble person and loved his family dearly. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, William, Wilbert, Paul, Billy, and Clarence Mabe and brothers-in-law, Cooney Flinchum and Leon Mabe. Survivors include a brother, Handy Mabe (Brenda) and sisters, Wilma Flinchum and Cindy Mabe, Colonial Funeral Home Stokes Chapel in Sandy Ridge is serving the family.
