James "Jimmy" Wayne Mabe Obituary (1952 - 2022)

MADISON - James "Jimmy" Wayne Mabe, age 69, passed away early Monday morning, April 18, 2022, at Jacobs Creek Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Madison. A funeral service will be held at 2 PM on Thursday, April 21st, at Colonial Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in Reidlawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening, 6 - 8 PM, at Colonial Funeral Home and other times at the home of his daughter, Jeannie, 319 Foxwood Road in Madison. Jimmy was born November 23, 1952. He was the son of the late Jesse James Mabe and Mary Sue Rierson Mabe. Jimmy was a former employee of McMichael Mills. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and living the farm life. He will be remembered as a loving husband to his wife who passed on before him; as well as a loving father and grandfather. He is survived by his three daughters, Jeannie Ellison and husband, Donnie, Crystal Martin and husband, Ben and Pamela Mabe, all of Madison; seven grandchildren, Taylor, Carlie, Makayla, Keyon, Izayah, Grace and Hunter; and his sister, Carolyn Smith of Walnut Cove. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Sylvia Jean Pegram Mabe. Colonial Funeral Home & Chapel in Madison is serving the family.
