John Talbert Lee, III Obituary (1950 - 2018)

John Talbert Lee III, beloved husband and devoted father, left his earthly home Friday, August 03, 2018. A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, August 11, 2018, at Good News Baptist Church (1215 W. Academy St. Madison, NC) with Pastor David Fulp officiating. Military rites will be provided by Rockingham County Honor Guard John was born in Rochester, New York, on February 26, 1950, to the late John Talbert Lee II and Christine Lillian Lee McAvoy. He was a US Air Force veteran, past employee of Brainerd Manufacturing, and a member of Good News Baptist Church. John was a faithful steward of the Lords work. He initiated the card and Snack-pack ministries at the church. He loved being a dad, camping, mowing, and building bird houses. John was also a Mr. fixer around the home. Survivors include his wife of 31 years, Elizabeth "Beth" Bothwell Lee; children, Spencer Emerson Lee, Carolyn Christine Lee, Colton John Lee, and Trevor Robert Lee; and grandson, Trevor Robert Lee II.
