Katherine W. McBride Mitchell Obituary (1927 - 2021)

McLeansville- Katherine W. McBride Mitchell, age 93 passed away Thursday March 25, 2021 at her home. A Funeral Service will be held 2 pm Monday March 29, at Calvary Baptist Church in McLeansville, NC. Burial will follow at Mt. Herman Methodist Church in Madison, NC. Social Distancing and Covid 19 precautions will be welcomed. Katherine was born September 12, 1927 in Roanoke County< VA to the late Henry B. Weeks and Lou Ella Markham Weeks. She was a member of Ellisboro Baptist Church in Madison for over 30 years and then became a member of Calvary Baptist Church in McLeansville. Katherine loved and enjoyed dancing, cooking and writing. Surviving her is her daughter Teresa McBride Keaton and husband Hugh, son Dodd R. McBride and wife Julie, grandchildren Robert Taylor, Scott Taylor, Kaylee McBride, great grandchild Caleb Taylor, step children Debbie Hyatt, Bonnie Mitchell-Dyson, Tammy Sardi, step grandchildren Stephanie McBride Harris, Emilee Smith Barr, Elijah Nance, Jadie B. Nance, step great grandchildren Nicholas Harris, Ryan Small, Noah Patterson, siblings Odell Weeks and wife Sue, M.C. Weeks and wife Ella Mae, Marie Weeks Dalton, Curtis Weeks and wife Darlene and daughter-in-law Liz McBride and many special nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death along with her parents are her husbands, Robert F. McBride, Elliot Dale Walters, Jr. Kiser T. Mitchell, son Jerry W. McBride, step daughter Sheila Allen, siblings Irene Weeks Aldridge, Nellie Weeks Fitzgerald, Lula Jean Weeks, Dorothy Weeks Hyatt, Calvin Weeks, Albert Weeks, Hubert Weeks, Ernest Weeks, Paul Weeks and Cecil Weeks. Visitation will be held two hours prior to the service at the church from 12 pm until 2 pm.
