Patrick Henry O'Connor Obituary (1933 - 2021)

SANDY RIDGE - Patrick Henry O'Connor, 87, passed away, Wednesday, January 27, 2021, at his residence. Mr. O'Connor was born September 27, 1933, in Brooklyn, NY to the late William and Mary Digou O'Connor. He was a US Navy Veteran, a member of American Legion Post #1450 in Half Moon, NY, and was a former employee of Ford Motor Co, Bindex Company in New York, and Food Lion in Madison, NC. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Frances Shaw O'Connor; a son, Patrick Henry O'Connor; step-daughters, Vicki Burgin and Polly Nolan; four brothers, William, Burnie, Leo, and James O'Connor; and a sister, Mary O'Connor. Survivors include a daughter, Colleen Delia O'Connor; his wife, Nancy Hazelwood O'Connor; brothers, Conrad, Joey, and Eddie O'Connor; a sister, Margaret Vartigian; grandchildren, Tasya West, Chuck Werner, and Tara Boles; great-grandchilden, Nolana Boles Anderson, Rachael Boles Langdon, Ashley Boles, and Auston, Avery, and Aaron Werner; four great-great-grandchildren. A celebration of life service will be held at 7 p.m., Friday, January 29, at Colonial Funeral Home Stokes Chapel. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Social distancing guidelines will be followed and face coverings are required. Memorials may be made to Trellis Supportive Care, 101 Hospice Lane, Winston Salem, NC 27103.
