Ralph “Sherrill” Barrow Obituary (1953 - 2018)

MAYODAN Ralph "Sherrill" Barrow, 64, entered Heaven and was welcomed by his Lord and loved ones there before him, Wednesday, June 27, 2018. The family will receive friends at Colonial Funeral Home from 1 p.m. until 3 p.m. Monday, July 2, 2018. Funeral services will be held in the chapel at 3 p.m., and interment will follow in the Mayodan Municipal Cemetery. Sherrill was born in Rockingham County on July 25, 1953, to the late Ralph Truman Barrow and Mackie Martin Barrow. He was an Explorer Scout, a 1971 graduate of Madison-Mayodan High School, and attended Rockingham Community College. After more than thirty years of dedication to his customers, he retired from M&M Auto Parts of Mayodan in 2015. Sherrill loved the outdoors, and spent much of his spare time gardening, hunting, and fishing. His two favorite indoor hobbies were watching Duke Basketball and Nascar racing. His memory lives on through his caring wife of 45 years, Sharon Camp Barrow; daughters, Tori Hoff and husband Lee, Meagan Richardson and husband Billy, both of Stokesdale; grandchildren, Lane and Kaitlin; sisters, Lisa Shelton and husband David, of Madison, Jill Nelson and husband Gary, of Stoneville; nephew, Eric Sechrist, wife Donna and son John, of Madison; niece Whitney Ligon, of Madison; cousins; and many special friends. The family wishes to send deep appreciation to Randy and Dawn Cardwell of Mayodan. The family will also receive friends other times at 2668 Ayersville Road, Mayodan.
