Wayne Garland Haislip Obituary (1948 - 2019)

WAYNE GARLAND HAISLIP MADISON Wayne Garland Haislip, 70, left his earthly home Monday, January 7, 2019. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, January 11, 2019, at Colonial Funeral Home with interment following in Palestine United Methodist Church Cemetery. Wayne was born in Rockingham County on September 30, 1948. He was of the Baptist faith and a retiree of Unifi, Inc. He was preceded in death by his father, George Haislip and brother, Harold Haislip. Survivors include his wife, Cathy Smothers Haislip; daughter, Becky Purdy (Howard Joseph Purdy); son, Tony Dunlap; mother, Pauline White Haislip; sister, Darlene Little (Anthony); grandchildren, Michael Purdy, Ally "Ally Cat" and Haley Atkins; and nephews, Bradley Biggs and Randy Hopkins. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Thursday at Colonial Funeral Home and other times at the residence. Colonial Funeral Home in Madison is serving the family.
